The Effect of Mind Mapping and Semantic Mapping on Reading Comprehension of the Eleventh Graders of Senior High School

چکیده

This paper discusses the effect of Mind Mapping and Semantic techniques on students’ reading comprehension. research was an experimental quantitative study involving three classes, they were class 1, 2 control class. In writer applied technique while in method did not apply. The population this students from XI Methodist Berastagi. used 105 as samples; sample taken using random sampling technique. It about 35 XI-A XI-B XI-C To obtain data, author a test, instrument data collection. test consisted two types, namely pre-test post-test. Based ANOVA testing P= 0.52 > 0.05 or F count = 7.65 table significantly affected. can be concluded that alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted null (Ho) rejected. Therefore, it affect achievement comprehension narrative text. explanation above, choose these alternatives learning.
